Professional Guidance: ACE Care gap is an educational initiative and does not replace personal medical advice. Please consult with your GP or a qualified healthcare professional for specific health concerns.
Support & Contact
You are not alone on this journey. Whether you need professional medical guidance or community support, there are clear pathways available to help you.
Talk to your GP
Your family doctor is the best first step for an initial assessment and referral to specialists.
Continence Assessment
Request an assessment from a qualified continence nurse or specialist through your health service.
National Helplines
Reach out to established Australian health lines for confidential advice and local service directions.
Key Australian helplines and services
These national services provide free, confidential advice and support. For urgent or life-threatening situations, please call 000 immediately.

Rural and remote health services
Help finding local health services in rural and remote communities. Ask your local GP clinic, community health centre, or Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service for support options.
Important Reminder: ACE Care gap is an educational resource and cannot provide emergency medical care. If someone is very unwell, has sudden severe pain, or trouble breathing, call 000 for an ambulance immediately.
